Honestly, is there really a point to this forum if no one is actually using it?  Then again, FCF has a Facebook account too, and that gets used even less than this!

Sometimes I really wonder if there was ever any discussion on how to use these types of mediums, or if they were just done because everyone else did it.  It all seems like wasted resources to me, and that just doesn't compute!  We could be using these to not only promote the church, but actually have things like small group coordination, information dissemination, and LOTS of other things flourish out of these but instead they are just left to wither on the vine... it is quite frustrating to sit here and watch it happen.

Even ustream could be used as a positive tool for the church, but again... resources are just not being utilized their maximum potential.  I even asked specifically about archiving videos there, and I think there were 2 or 3 replies, but it never went anywhere.   

If there is a reason or an actual plan in place that would explain why we are doing things this way I would LOVE to hear it!

Dear Scott and Sheri, What I know is that in time there will be more activity on his site than  the three of us could imajine. What I hope for is that someone will make a post to the greater things, So that I can jump in and challenge others to up what they can do for the Pay Down campaign. I know the rest of the money is there. What I am currnently giving is just a small posiblity that I could do with some help not sure how to ask but, there is a scripture about what two can do more than what one can do. by the way I hope everyone saw through this snow storm just how God can and wants to pour out a blessing on us that wee can't shovel back , See page 76 or 92 in the treasure principal about the man who had the earth moving manufacturing company. I gave my book away to a soon to be believer so I can't quite refference it correctly, But God taught me a lot through this snow storm I hope to share it properly, because I saw allot more than just a snow storm Charles

I thought that too at first, but I have been trying since June of 2008 to generate ideas and discussions.   It would appear to me that with this particular group of people, a forum is just not the right way to go.   I have volunteered to help, offered suggestions, and even tried just telling people about it in between services.   The staff doesn't seem to mind that it is a wasted resource,  so I guess I will take my cue from them. 


Again, if there is a plan or some sort of logical explanation as to why we (as a church) are operating like this, I would love to hear it. 

I am really starting to wonder if FCF is changing, or if I am just not as enthusiastic about it as I used to be... either way, it bugs me that all this is apparently being ignored anyway so why am I even typing it?

Well, I have to admit I haven't been on for a while. I am a blogger and go on facebook regularly but could hardly ever get anyone to respond on this forum. I agree that it could be a very powerful communication tool for all sorts of topics. I'll start checking in more often again!

Believe it or not it turned out to be a fuse. It was hard to tell that it was actually burned but that was it. Although there is something wrong there. Now that fuse burns every couple of weeks.

Hey, i'm reading this! My first post. When I first joined, the site was down. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone attended the Walid Shoebat talk, and what they thought. 280 people attended. I thought it was fascinating and confusing at the same time. An interesting and scholarly man who seems to have concluded that Christianity is the only Way, and the Truth, through a logical journey which showed that Islam is very flawed indeed. I will buy his books to learn more............

I did not attend, but it sounds like there was quite a crowd there.  I wonder if they recorded it???

I have been off and on with this fcf forum site and feel it is not so "user friendly". That is the basic reason I do not use it much. It is a good tool, but not so easily understood. That's my opinion.

I agree Darcy, and I have made several suggestions to improve it... and even offered to do the improvements myself.    Not sure why the Church appears to be squandering just about every single avenue with any sort of public face on it, but it looks like a pretty deliberate decision to me.

Just to clarify where I am coming from... Randy has been saying for months that he wants to "fill God's house" each week, and you have all these ways of reaching out to people via the internet, but not one of them is being utilized to even a tiny fraction of it's potential.  I would really like to know why that is, but my hunch is that no one capable of answering that question is even reading this.
